Covid-19 Positive - Day Eleven

I am feeling 95% better today.  So far no symptoms besides fatigue and some body aches which I am sure I will experience for a while.  I even caught a whiff of my body wash when showering so I do believe my sense of smell is finally returning.

This is what Day 8 Positive Covid-19 looks like for me (No Filters, No Editing). I am very fatigued, have intestinal distress, and have body aches all over. I have lost 16 pounds. Covid-19 Positive - Day Four

Woke up today with a sore throat, most likely from coughing and a burning sensation in my left nostril.  The fever has been unrelenting for the last three days we will see what today brings.  I continue to use Tylenol every six hours to try and stay ahead of it.  Anything I eat or drinks seems to run immediately through my body.

I had to walk the dog today because my husband's symptoms finally caught up with mine, he has been in the bed all day sleeping with body aches, a cough, and a fever.  I felt lightheaded and felt very nauseous each time I went out. My body is still desperately fighting this thing.

Covid-19 Positive - Day One

Wednesday, July 29th, 2020, I awoke with a headache, runny nose, and lots of ear and sinus pressure.  I took some sinus medication and got ready for work.  I arrived at work and went through the door screening and my temperature was taken (97.1) and got on with my day.  Throughout the day I started feeling some fatigue.  After work, I went home, ate some dinner, and laid in bed and watched some television.  After a couple of hours, I took a shower and turned in early thinking that some sleep would relieve some of my symptoms. I woke up several hours later with an oral temperature of 101.5 degrees, chills, and a dry cough.

At 3:58am I contacted my boss and advised her of my symptoms and was told I needed to go get tested for Covid-19.  I made an appointment at 12:30pm for myself and my husband as more symptoms started to appear.  When we arrived at the clinic for our testing we were taken to separate room and our stats were taken.  Mine were as follows:
  • Temperature:  100.0
  • Pulse:  88 BPM
  • Blood Pressure:  173/104
  • O2 Stats:  92%
Came home after my nasal swab test, took a shower, and spent the rest of the day in and out of consciousness and feeling worse, feeling as if I would pass out when I stood to go to the bathroom.  Every 6 hours the Tylenol would wear off and the fever and chills would come back.

And the Survey Says....

I went to my cardiologist appointment this morning for my test results from my echocardiogram, ekg, ultrasound, chest x-ray and lab work. All my test results were great he found nothing abnormal. So basically I am a healthy fat chick with high blood pressure that I will always have to take medication for. The doctor told me to continue my medication, avoid high sodium, keep on dieting (I have lost 43 pounds) and limit my caffiene intake.

So, with the help of drugs, exercise and eating differently – the BP is down. I will have to spend some time at the gym instead of at the computer.  Just think, what if we could use our computers while on a treadmill or exercise bike? Nah, too much multi-tasking.

Finally I Am Feeling Better

I have not gotten any test results back yet, but I have been eating as well as possible, drinking lots of fluids, and taking my medication religiously. Finally I feel a lot better, though not 100%.

Despite all of this, I have met the most wonderful man. He has been there with me every step of the way through all I have been going through the past few weeks. He is kind, caring, gentle and he can make me laugh even on the worst days.

We are taking things one day at at time and very slowly, if a relationship happens GREAT if not I have met a wonderful new friend.

Through this nightmare I have realized I am not alone.

Thank you all my friends for all your messages of support.

My Health Has Taken A Turn For The Worst

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am very sick and that is why I haven't been online. My blood pressure was not responding to medication and my right ankle and foot are swelling daily. I went to the doctor Tuesday, he did a EKG which came back abnormal and my breathing is only at 50% He placed me on 5 medication and set me up an appt for a consult with a cardiologist.

I left the office and went and had labs drawn and came home and called and checked on my other appts. I am seeing the cardiologist Thursday at 3:30 pm and I have an appt Friday to go have a chest x-ray and a bilateral lower ultrasound done.

I took my new medication this morning and my blood pressure bottomed out and made me faint, I spent the rest of the day in the bed unable to move and with dry heaves. So needless to say I am one sick lady.

I will keep everyone updated as I can. Hope everyones week is going alot better than mine.
